The Clinic's Hygenist: Karima Bapoo-Mohamed

Karima Bapoo-Mohamed Dip.DH, RDH, MBA

Karima graduated in 1986 from the University of Alberta's Dental Hygiene program and has been with The Vassos Clinic since 1987. In addition to her clinical practice in implant hygiene here, Karima is also a Clinical Associate Professor at the dental hygiene department in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta. As a clinical instructor and course coordinator, she has been sharing her vast implant knowledge since 1993. Karima has conducted clinical research and published papers on implant hygiene protocols and peri-implant tissue assessments.

Karima has lectured extensively in Canada, the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia. Sought-after globally for dental conferences and training sessions, Karima continually strives to inspire her audiences worldwide to reach new heights in their professional lives.

A member in good standing with the College of Registered Dental Hygienist of Alberta (CRDHA), Karima is also a trained instructor for the Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries and Practice Management Certification programs (ADIA&PM), a division of International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI).
